Hi Everyone,

I hope that you are all well. Please find attached the Entry Form for the upcoming Junior Interclub Competition.

A few things to note:

This is for KYU Grades Only - No Black Belts.
Please can club instructors ensure that any student competing has a 2022 licence. Tigers aged 4-7 Years who are currently undertaking Mon Grades do not need a licence.
The Closing date for Entries is Friday 24th June. All entries must be submitted on or before the 24th June. Any received after this won't be processed.
If a student puts an entry in and you bring cash with you on the day and they are a no show then you will still need to pay.
We have tried to encourage more younger students and lower graded students to participate and so where possible we will split the events down into Grade Categories
Mixed Tigers (Children 6-7 Years) “Tag” Kumite. In order to score a point they will need to pull a coloured tag out of the front of their opponent’s belt. Scoring is Shobu Ippon (2 Points), 1 Point will be awarded for each time an opponent is the first to successfully pull the tag from the opposition.
Mixed Kumite (9-11 Years) “Tap” Kumite. Mitts aren’t required and in order to score a point they will need to tap (with control) an opponent’s Shoulder. Shobu Ippon (2 Points), 1 Point will be rewarded for each time the competitor scores first.
Mixed Kumite (10-11 Years Brown & White Belt +) Jiyu Kumite (Shobu Ippon) 1 Minute. Mitts must be worn, and NO HEAD TECHNIQUES - CHUDAN ONLY.
For all Jiyu Kumite Events students must where a gumshield and mitts. These will be checked by the referee prior to the event starting and if you don't have both then you won't be able to compete. The gumshield does not apply in the Mixed Kumite 10-11 Years Brown & White Belt +.
Kumite Categories for 12 Years + Jodan or Chudan scoring will be allowed, however, Jodan attacks must be controlled (ZERO CONTACT) and points will only be awarded if they Kiai - no kiai, then no point will be awarded. This will all be discussed with all judges and referees on the day.

Bank Transfers are accepted, but please ensure that they are referenced with either the Club or Competitors name so that we can cross reference the payment.
